Peace Lutheran School

Peace Lutheran School is a Christian elementary and middle school that offers grades 3-8 and teaches a traditional curriculum in an individualized way to each student. Peace's multi-level classroom has the advantages of home schooling – meeting students at their education level in each class and helping them succeed – with the advantage of an experienced teacher.

Peace Lutheran School has been educating Bradenton children for more than 40 years. The parents who choose Peace for their children are looking for a school where their child’s academic and spiritual needs are addressed and they emerge a well-rounded human being prepared for high school.

Experienced Staff - Teacher Amy Mehnert Krueger has 32 years of experience working with students in a multi-age classroom who have a range of learning styles and helping them succeed. “I love teaching and I love my students,” Krueger says. “People ask me how our students are able to realize the success they do here and I tell them, ‘The Lord is in our classroom and that makes the atmosphere different.’”

Our Students - A wide range of students are attracted to our school. They include:

Our Curriculum - Our traditional curriculum includes the core classes – language arts, math, science, social studies, Word of God, phonics, handwriting, spelling, music and recess. These classes are taught in a variety of ways such as reading novels, doing projects and some computer work. There is standardized testing but we do not teach to a test. The testing is only used to help the teacher better assess the needs of the student. Because of our individualized approach, a student who reads at a fourth grade level but is at a third grade level for math will be taught at different grade levels for each subject.

Our Activities - School activities include field trips monthly, service activities such as feeding the hungry and visiting senior homes monthly,  Kids of the Kingdom youth group, singing in church, a Christmas program, Friday chapel, an art fair and other extra-curricular activities.

Nationally Recognized - Peace is a part of the fourth largest private/parochial school system in the U.S. - the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The WELS has a 150-year tradition of providing excellent, Christ-centered education to thousands of children across the country and has consistently achieved high rates of achievement in all academic areas.

Scholarships - Scholarships are available at Peace Lutheran School through Florida's Step Up for Students program and McKay Scholarship program for those who qualify. Review our scholarship information and income guidelines to learn more about financial aid that may be available.
