Peace Community Park is a joint project between Peace Lutheran Church and School and the Manatee County 14th Street West Community Redevelopment Agency.

The goal of the project is to provide a much needed recreational space to the residents of the 14th Street West CRA.  Once completed, it will be the only outdoor recreation area in the CRA (the CRA covers approximately 20th St W to 9th St W and 22nd Ave to Cortez Ave).

Peace Park features amenities and activities for all ages.  The centerpiece of the park is a large playground system with slides, swings, monkey bars, shade roofs, and a pyramid net climber, all designed to provide endless exploration for five to twelve year olds.  A full size outdoor basketball court provides a great place to play hoops.  The park also features a 9-hole disc golf course, perfect for beginners and with enough challenge to keep seasoned players interested.  Finally, picnic tables, benches and shade structures provide a wondeful recreation space for all.

As a joint project between the CRA and Peace Lutheran, the CRA has provided the funding to purchase and install the equipment and Peace Lutheran is providing the land usage and ongoing maintenance for the park.

Peace Community Park is truly for the community and all are welcome and invited.  Park hours are dawn till dusk.  Peace Lutheran School reserves first-use privileges during regular school hours.
